ABOUT ME & PHOTOGRAPHY

Having a camera around my neck grants me the license to be inquisitive. Photography has trained me to be observant — to see, really see, even when the camera isn’t up to my eye.

Cameras do what our eyes can’t — they freeze the world. And those captured split-second moments speak volumes. They reveal. They tell stories.

I also work with words and sound and video. But storytelling is at the heart of what I do.

I’m a multimedia journalist at KCTS 9, Seattle's public television station. I cover urban environmental issues. You can see more of my stories at http://earthfix.kcts9.org/

Thank you for checking out my photos and videos.
Chinook salmon, also known as king salmon, are listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act and are spiritually and culturally prized among certain Native American tribes. Because of their relative scarcity compared to other salmon along most of the Pacific coast, Chinook salmon also are highly valued.
